On December 31 2024 Sydney becomes SydNYE as the city comes together for new year’s eve celebrations and the nation stops for the world’s favourite fireworks display.
The city will be lit up from a number of vantage points for the 9 pm and 12 pm fireworks and with more than one million expected to attend we’ve checked out everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and fun evening in the city for families celebrating New Year’s Eve 2024.

City of Sydney has unveiled the latest information and resources to help locals, interstate and international visitors plan their night celebrate the end of 2024 in style.
If you're planning on heading to the city to catch the fireworks this year, there will be plenty of vantage points to ring in 2024 - some ticketed and free, some ticketed and priced, and some non-ticketed.

NYE at Koshigaya Park

Koshigaya Park will be buzzing with family-friendly entertainment to bid farewell to 2024.
One of Campbelltown's biggest parties is back in 2024, so bring your picnic blanket and get ready for wall-to-wall entertainment. Carnival rides, fireworks, free face-painting, live performances, food trucks, showbags, photo booths, and more are on the agenda to ensure families ring in 2025 with happy hearts and full bellies.

New Year's Eve at Parramatta Park

Say farewell to 2024 with a bang at New Year's Eve at Parramatta Park.
There is an impressive line-up of entertainment and activities throughout the evening, including three stages of festive performances headlined by Bag Raiders, Cut Copy, and a dedicated family zone featuring DJ Dorothy the Dinosaur!
Plus, there'll be yummy food trucks, fun amusement rides, and family-friendly activities. Make sure you look to the sky at 9 pm for ther stunning fireworks finale!

Illuminate The Hills

If you're looking for an early event so little family members can get to bed on time, head to Illuminate The Hills to see magical twinkly lights.
Christmas merriment will be on the agenda with loads of Christmas installations lighting up the treasured Baulkham Hills Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Rose Garden from 7.30-10.30 pm until 2 January 2025.
