Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular 2025

Get ready to feast your eyes on the largest Christmas lights display in the Southern Hemisphere for 12 weeks throughout the season and summer school holidays.

Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular is famous for its enchanting and luminous Christmas lights installations, creating a sparkling wonderland for families to explore. Wander through millions of dazzling lights, including the brand new HO HO Harvest. Plus, parents who fancy a tipple can check out the new bar - The Evergreen Tavern.

The whole family will be awestruck by this brilliant event as you stroll through the immaculate themed gardens aglow with illuminated light displays, and a program of entertainment, festive food and drinks, family-friendly amusement rides, Santa photos (until 26 December) and a New Year’s Eve fireworks show. 

Christmas Lights Spectacular Highlights

• Nutcracker Storytime – an interactive retelling where children meet the characters
• Roaming performers – stilt walkers, a unicycling juggler, and the elegant Lollipop Lyra aerial act
• Live music – the vibrant Felix Quinn Band plays festive favourites
• Brand new attractions - wander through HO HO Harvest - the brand-new Italian Grotto Garden area, plus new areas like Merry Meadow, Santaville, Shimmering Falls and Holiday Hollow
• Enchanting new displays - Behold Garden Elves, a glowing Poinsettia, twinkling Mistletoe, a festive Boxing Day Test scene and a vibrant Giant Christmas tree display.

Amazing Amusement Rides

Take in the magnificent view of Hunter Valley Gardens and the surrounding countryside from the 25-metre-high Ferris Wheel, fly 11 metres above the ground on the Swing Chair or dash 35 metres down the Superslide!  You can also keep your feet on the ground on the Venetian Carousel and Tea Cup ride - perfect for the youngest thrill-seekers.
