Monster Jump
One of our favourite school holiday events is Monster Jump - an enormous inflatable playground with over 30 exhilarating obstacles. Spanning 280 meters, this course includes giant slides, climbing walls, and plenty of bouncy fun suitable for kids aged 3 and up. It ends this Sunday 6 October, so don’t miss out!
Australian National Maritime Museum
Set sail for a nautical adventure at the Australian National Maritime Museum, From the newest exhibitions like James Cameron: Challenging the Deep and Wildlife Photographer of the Year, to hands-on fun in the Kids on Deck maker space, there's something for every young explorer. Get up close with touchable objects at the Cabinet of Curiosities, climb aboard the museum’s fleet of vessels, and catch the enchanting Sea Tales performance. They’ve also got Mini Mariners, underwater drone explorations, a Mermaid Melody colouring corner and book nook, a Sneaky Sharks Activity Trail and even a torchlight tour.
Ice Age Sydney Zoo
For a unique icy experience, head to Sydney Zoo and journey back in time with their newest installation, Creatures of the Ice Age. This immersive experience allows visitors to encounter life-sized models of mammoths, sabre-toothed tigers, and even the giant jaws of a megalodon shark—the first of its kind in Australia! Grab a map and explore this frosty adventure at Sydney Zoo. The installation is included with your Sydney Zoo entry until Sunday 13 October.
Intensive Swimming Lessons
As spring heats up, it’s the ideal time to enrol kids in intensive swimming lessons at several City of Sydney pools. These programs are designed to boost swimming skills and water confidence, ensuring children are well-prepared for summer fun in the water. City of Sydney runs their fast track swimming programs at all their world-class swimming pools across Sydney including Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre in Ultimo, Cook + Phillip Park Pool in the City and Gunyama Park in Zetland.
Flip Out Caringbah
For those who thrive on high-energy activities, Flip Out Caringbah is a must-visit. This venue features Australia’s first ‘Air Court’, alongside parkour arenas, multi-sports areas, slides, and rock climbing. It's a perfect spot for kids to burn off energy in a safe, fun environment.

I love finding out what is on around Sydney as I indulge my grandson and see his wonder as we explore. He has learnt so much. Keep up the good work
