There are a few tables surrounding the large play area where you can watch the kids and dine on their delicious traditional pizzas.

2. Watsons Bay Hotel

The Watsons Bay Hotel epitomises family-friendly dining in the most beautiful harbour-side location.

Perched right on the beach where kids can run and splash around while you watch the sunset, the trendy outdoor Beach Club overlooking the ocean belies the traditional old pub out the back! The Beach Club courtyard offers plenty of space for families and a fun, relaxed vibe. There is colouring-in and a kids' menu, including fish and chips, grilled chicken, and pizza.

Shhh... The Leichhardt Bowling Club is a bit of a local secret.

Your typical bowling club has been made family-friendly thanks to a great kids' menu and a huge playground that now occupies the back green.

If the walls could talk at this place, oh, the stories they would tell! The Salisbury Hotel might be over 120 years old, but there's nothing dated about this old dame!

There is a terrific little 1926 red brewery truck in the very cool beer garden for the kids to play on, entertainment during the school holidays, and a great kids' menu. And on Sundays, they have live music from 3-6 pm - bliss!

The piece de resistance for families is undoubtedly the indoor play centre, Major Fun. The huge indoor playspace caters to babies, toddlers, and older kids with two play areas, interactive games, slides, climbing tunnels, and other attractions. 17. The Ranch

Also in North Ryde, The Ranch is a contemporary, family-friendly venue where the youngest visitors are spoilt for choice.

There are state-of-the-art facilities, including a jungle gym, jumping castles, and an arcade room, as well as plenty of activities and entertainment every weekend. The menu puts a gratifying spin on classic pub fare with their Wood-smoked Beef Brisket, Crab and Prawn Black Pepper Spaghettini, Beetroot Gnocchi, and 12-Hour Slow-cooked Lamb Shoulder, to name a few. In Sydney's southwest, parents are flocking to Liverpool Catholic Club to explore their stylish precinct called The Laneway.

One of our favourite kid-friendly pubs serves freshly brewed beer, a range of food and beverages, live sports, gaming, and plenty of free parking. The fabulous outdoor playground has slides, swings, tunnels, and climbing frames, all under a protective shade sail.

21. The Log Cabin Hotel

If you're out and about in Penrith and need a kid-friendly pub, you can't go wrong with the Log Cabin Hotel Penrith.

After a sleek renovation in 2021, the Log Cabin Hotel is back and better than ever, with brand-new interiors, two restaurants, incredible views of the Neapean River, and a super-cool outdoor kids' play area.

Catering to families, mothers' groups, birthday parties, and more, Hotel Seven Hills offers modern interiors, yummy menus and a relaxed atmosphere. Both the kids' play area and the Splash Pad are indoors, out of the sun, so the kids can play for hours on end without getting too hot or bothered.

25. Ingleburn RSL

An RSL that has its own indoor play centre - now we're talking!

Ingleburn RSL is home to the super-fun Tabatinga play centre that's heaven for kids. Open seven days a week, Tabatinga has loads of indoor attractions for the kids, including a multi-level climbing structure, a Cannon Zone, a disco and games room, a toddler area, a bumper cars arena, and loads more. 

Please note that Tabatinga is not a drop-and-dine service, and all kids must be supervised at all times. There are tables and seating nearby, but get in early - it gets busy!

26. The Marayong Hotel

An excellent spot for little people to run, play, and eat, The Marayong Hotel offers plenty of family-friendly attractions.

The kids' indoor play area at The Marayong got an impressive revamp in 2020 and is attracting more Sydney families than ever with slides, tunnels, climbing frames, plus a role-play kitchen and supermarket.
