Animal Crossing™: New Horizons at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Grab your Island Excursion Guide and prepare to swap the Nintendo Switch for a real underwater adventure. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has returned to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, bringing familiar island residents into the aquarium from 1 July to 23 August 2026.

Animal Crossing™: New Horizons Takes Over SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Each visitor can collect an Island Excursion Guide before heading into the aquarium. The guide leads young adventurers through the SEA LIFE Isles, with themed stations and Animal Crossing™ characters appearing among the real marine habitats.

This year's trail offers more chances to spot island residents and learn about the creatures living beneath the surface. Children can keep their eyes peeled for familiar faces as the aquarium becomes a watery extension of the game.

Collect Stamps Around the Aquarium

There is work to be done before anyone can head back to their island! Children can join a collectable stamp rally, adding embossed stamps to their excursion guides at special stations throughout the aquarium.

Fang, Stitches and Flip are among the new residents joining the 2026 trail. Complete the full stamp rally and show the finished sheet to the SEA LIFE team near the exit to receive an exclusive Animal Crossing™: New Horizons postcard!

Learn With Blathers

Blathers has swapped his museum for SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, although his enthusiasm for sharing facts remains firmly intact.

Creature panels positioned along the trail share information about the aquarium's real marine residents. They give children a chance to connect the fish and sea creatures found in Animal Crossing™: New Horizons with animals swimming directly in front of them.

Find Gulliver and Other Familiar Faces

Gulliver has washed overboard again and is hiding somewhere inside the aquarium! Young visitors will need to search the displays and underwater zones to track him down.

Animal Crossing™ character cut-outs are also dotted throughout the journey, so children may encounter a few recognisable villagers between the tanks.

Meet Isabelle at SEA LIFE Sydney

Isabelle will be appearing every day for photos in the Day and Night on the Reef zone near the end of the aquarium.

Meet-and-greet sessions are scheduled for 10.30 am, 11.30 am, 1 pm and 2 pm on weekdays. Weekend sessions are scheduled for 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm.

Each appearance runs for around 25 minutes, and queues may close early when demand is high.

The experience is included with regular SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium admission. Online family tickets are available from $99 for one adult and two children, although prices vary depending on the date and demand.
