A veritable hub of all things Christmassy, Darling Harbour is brimming with things to do and see during the yuletide season, meaning there’s something for the whole family to enjoy in the lead up to Santa’s visit! Here’s our pick of the best (and spoiler: they're all free!)

The Giant Bauble

‘Cause nothing says Christmas quite like a giant, oversized decoration! Standing a whopping 6 metres tall and situated at the ICC forecourt, this epic dec promises to light up your night, and makes for the perfect Christmas picture. You can also take a walk through the baubles’ mirrored tunnel to snap a memorable family selfie!

Keen to dance the night away to all of the Chrissy favourites, against the backdrop of Darling Harbour’s twinkling lights? Cockle Bay Lawn will come to life each Saturday and Sunday evening in December between 6 pm and 9 pm, playing all of the festive tunes that the whole family can enjoy a boogie to.

There’s nothing quite like homemade gifts and Christmas decorations—and luckily Darling Harbour are offering you the chance to make your own at their very own Christmas Craft Workshops this year. The whole family will love decorating Christmas baubles to hang on the Christmas tree at home, making papercraft decorations and writing special Christmas messages for loved ones. The perfect opportunity to roll up those sleeves and get creative!

Well, Darling Harbour have got you covered, and are providing the opportunity to relax and unwind on the grass this Christmas, watching a movie on their giant outdoor screen. Showings include The Polar Express, The Santa Clause, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Jingle All The Way, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf, The Nightmare Before Christmas and A Christmas Carol. What a line-up!
