And if you, like us, have been struggling with the mammouth task of creating three meals every day for your family then it’s time to treat your iso self to a night (or nights) off.

These are the Sydney restaurants that are creating incredible takeaway family meal deals to enjoy at home.

1. Mama Saan, Bondi

Mama Saan is offering its full menu for takeaway but has also created an extra special takeaway box for families (four people). It includes edamame, karaage chicken, steamed dumplings, buffalo wings, beef skewers, duck pancakes, Mama's garden salad, Mama saan chips and the best bit, a free bottle of wine. Not bad for $95. Pre-order on their website for pickup or order via Uber Eats for delivery.

2. Tequila Mockingbird, Paddington

Pork belly tacos, anyone? Tequila Mockingbird has created take-home fiesta boxes for the family. The $99 Fiesta Box includes lamb shoulder cooked in burnt lime, fire-roasted potatoes and chargrilled broccolini for four people. Or the pork belly taco box is $45 with eight tortillas. Pick-up and local delivery available.

3. Catalina, Rose Bay

For those with deep pockets and refined tastes then the most decadent of this list goes to Catalina in Rose Bay. There’s incredible at-home seafood boxes, with the lobster box costing $450 a pop. But there’s also the chicken roast family feast that serves up to six for $150 and comes with all the trimmings. Or the lamb shank with tabouli, tastski and flatbread for $240, again serving six. There’s even dessert available, with a decadent pavlova costing $150.

4.  Crumpets by Merna

Breakfast boxes are what weekends are made for and the Crumpets by Merna is simple but fantastic. It features six of their buttermilk crumpets and Oomite X Pepe Saya Butter for $22. Add in a pack of chocolate crumpets, which are a favourite with kids, for an extra $17 and the whole family are happy. Delivery Sydney wide.

5. Barbetta, Paddington

Barbetta have a range of take-home gourmet meals, which include their family lasagne that serves up to eight people or their gnocchi di patate (2-3 serves) and ravioli di spinaci e ricotta (2-3 serves). Grab a few dishes and a bottle of wine as it’s 15% off the wine list at present. Pickup only.

6. Clove Lane, Clovelly 

While Clove Lane has pandemic pivotted to sophistacated meal deals for two in the week, on the weekends it's a family affair with a roast for four costing $120. You can add on dessert, wines and freshly baked cookies at an extra cost. Pick-up only.

7. Chiswick, Woolhara

Slow-cooked lamb, roasted chicken or pork belly. Chiswick is offering winter meal deals for a family of four from $169. And they’re great value as they also come with a selection of sides, salads, sauces and, most importantly, dessert. You had us at sticky toffee pudding and vanilla bean gelato.  Pick up only.

8. Moxhe, Bronte 

Since rolling into lockdown, outstanding seafood restaurant Moxhe in Bronte has been mixing it up every evening. The restaurant offers an exclusive three-course meal deal which rotates each day. It's been raw kinfish, mussells and chips with a coffee choux bun. Or hapuka and prawn terrine, whoe sand whiting and gateau basque. The only thing that stays consistent is the price. $39 a head. 9.  Chargrill Charlie's 

For a meal deal that’s a little more reasonable on the pocket then it's all eyes on the family lockdown box at Chargrill Charlie's. It's jam packed with all the good stuff. Think, a whole chicken, large fries, large salad, two soups, and an apple pie with cookie dough. Oh, and a Charlie’s Cap to wear while chowing down. And for the total cost of $45.90.
