After years of planning, Penrith Council has finally unveiled the stunning transformation of Regatta Park in Emu Plains. The exciting upgrades to Regatta Park are part of the Western Sydney City Deal LiveabilIty Program and are set to completely rejuvenate the existing park in a bid to create a vibrant space that celebrates, activates, and enhances the Nepean River.

A whopping 24-million-dollars is going into the development of the impressive park, which is set to modernise the area and become the new focal point for nature, leisure and recreation in Western Sydney. Events, festivals, picnic areas, river terraces, an expansive playground and more are on the final agenda for the new Regatta Park.

The final design for Regatta Park Emu Plains has been revealed and features two new playgrounds, pathways to the Nepean river foreshore, overwater viewing platforms, a kiosk with outdoor dining areas, a junior cricket oval, a functional car park, and plenty of green open spaces. 400 new trees will be planted in the new park, so get ready for plenty of fresh air and shady spots for family picnics.

Penrith Council's plans to rejuvenate the Regatta Park precinct also include the transformation of the Heritage-Listed old Police Station on Punt Road into a family-friendly cafe.

Construction for the new Regatta Park began in June 2021 with a completion date of December 2022 - we can't wait!
