World Class Inclusive Playground at Variety Livvi❜s Place in Liverpool

Liverpool City Council is joining children’s charity Variety to build a world-class inclusive playground at Lt Cantello Reserve in Hammondville, and, after a much-anticipated opening date, the new playground is officially open to the public!

This new inclusive playspace in partnership with Livvi's Place is a unique place where people of all ages and abilities can play alongside each other in a fun, challenging environment in the heart of southwest Sydney. 

The new playspace is set to become a key community hub, and form part of a national network of inclusive play spaces that Variety has helped create.

What to Expect at Variety Livvi's Place Liverpool

Variety Livvi's Place Liverpool is set to be a new ‘world-class’ inclusive playground. 

Variety's Inclusive Play team works to a unique model, bringing together communities, government and corporate Australia to deliver community spaces that change the way our society plays. Through extensive research, advocacy and guidelines based on the Universal Design Principles, they assist communities to create play spaces that encourage and invite social inclusion through play. 

Not only does the new playground look incredibly cool, but also has some pretty epic features to back up its already high status. 

Features of Variety Livvi's Place Liverpool include:

• Custom-built play tower with 8-metre-long slide
• Inclusive seesaw
• Custom-built embankment slide with inclusive exit
• Pod swing
• Inclusive carousel
• Interactive play items such as talk tubes, playhouse, harmony bells, hand pipes and babel drum
• Inclusive trampolines
• Nature play
• sensory and quiet areas.

Opening Date

Variety Livvi’s Place Lt Cantello Reserve officially opened in February 2022 and is already impressing the socks off of Sydney kids!
