Melbourne parents have a huge new indoor play option on the radar: Minoland is now open in Oakleigh, and it's one of the biggest indoor playgrounds in Australia!

The sprawling new venue has more than 4,000 square metres of activities for kids who prefer their playtime active, hands-on and slightly chaotic. There are towering soft-play structures to climb through, five ball pits, slides, trampolines, climbing walls and a high ropes course for confident little adventurers.

What's on Offer at the New Minoland

Minoland Melbourne
We'd say the theme is: colourful!

It is a serious step up from the usual play centre setup. One area leads into another, so kids can move from bouncing and climbing to role-play, arcade games, or a quieter corner with books and educational toys. Younger children have their own spaces to explore, including mini electric cars, while older kids can take on the bigger challenges once they meet the height requirements.

The high ropes course, climbing walls and trampolines are available to children aged five and over who are at least 110 centimetres tall. Children aged one to four can access the mega soft-play zone, role-play areas and reading corner, giving little ones plenty to do without having to keep up with the bigger kids.

Coffee and Snacks On Hand

Minoland also has an on-site cafe with coffee, pizzas, mini burgers, shareable finger food, and drinks for a mid-play refuel. This gives exhausted parents somewhere to sit down while the kids disappear into the maze of play equipment, rather than trying to convince them that it is time to leave after 20 minutes.

Birthday Parties

Minoland Oakleigh
You can even book your next birthday party at Minoland!

The venue is also set up for birthday parties, with private rooms for groups of different sizes. Party packages include three hours of play, 90 minutes in a dedicated party room, food options, grip socks and arcade tokens for the birthday child. Larger celebrations can book the Grand Celebration Room, which accommodates up to 60 children.

Sessions Explained

Day-to-day visits are booked in two-hour sessions, with the option to upgrade to all-day play. Grip socks are required for anyone entering the play areas, including accompanying adults, and parents or guardians must remain responsible for supervising their children throughout the visit.

For families in Melbourne's south-east, Minoland is a handy answer to wet weekends, school holiday energy and birthday parties that need more than a few balloons and a packet of fairy bread!
