2. The 3 Little Pigs: A Family Musical

The Big Bad Wolf better watch out! Melbourne-based theatre company AG Theatre is huffing, puffing and bringing the house down with their hilarious, heartwarming new production of The 3 Little Pigs, running for a limited season at the National Theatre in St Kilda this winter school holidays.
The story follows the three very different piglets - Bar, Bee and Q - as they finally set off to build their own homes, armed with nothing but a sack of acorns and a heap of determination. Cue giggles, gasps, and a few huffs and puffs as they learn about courage, creativity, and what it means to be family.

Set against the backdrop of the 1857 Australian Gold Rush, Yong follows 13-year-old Yong, who is compelled by his father to leave their village in China and journey to the goldfields of Ballarat in search of fortune. This coming-of-age tale delves into themes of identity, resilience, and the immigrant experience, offering a poignant exploration of Chinese-Australian history.

Your favourite crime-fighting comic book hero is coming to life this winter school holidays! Dog Man: The Musical is an action-packed, family-friendly stage adaptation of Dav Pilkey’s bestselling Dog Man book series.
In this musical adventure, best friends George and Harold, now in fifth grade, decide to create a musical based on their comic book hero, Dog Man - aka the crime-fighting sensation who is part dog, part man, and all hero. The story follows Dog Man as he battles villains like Flippy the cyborg fish and Petey, the world's most evil cat, who has cloned himself to seek revenge.
There will also be an Auslan-interpreted performance on Thursday 2 October, 11:00 am.
