Eat, Play & Chill at Sydney❜s Secret Video Game Restaurant
There's a new kid on the restaurant block amidst the hustle and bustle of Sydney's north shore, but this time, with a twist.
If you're a fan of video games and Japanese food, why not combine the two? The newly opened ESC. Sydney in Chatswood is a paradise for gamers and foodies alike. ESC. is setting a new standard for what it means to be an interactive restaurant, serving delicious dishes plus a unique opportunity to engage in all manner of video games while you're at it.
Here's everything you need to know about what's behind ESC.'s intriguing doors.
ESC. is Sydney's Secret Video Game Restaurant
It's safe to say that ESC. has something to entertain and delight hiding around every single corner of its quirky home.
When you book into ESC., you're given a chance to book brightly- and intricately-decorated rooms that are decked out with gaming or anime characters, plus choose from ESC.'s extensive gaming catalogue, which includes Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, and plenty of other popular PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch games.
And when you're all battled out from gaming, you can really kick back and relax in front of a big screen, with access to endless content on Netflix, Binge, and Disney+. They really have thought of everything!
The consensus on the food at ESC. is that it's way fancier than you'd expect from a 'gaming restaurant.'
We're talking sashimi platters, skewer combos, udon, and soups, plus plenty of sides, snacks, and starters, and you can wash it all down with beer, shochu, cocktails, or sake. Bottoms up!
Gamers can simply order as they go on their iPad, and food will be delivered to them without interrupting their gaming (cue, relief from gamers everywhere.)
Booths can be booked with a minimum spend of $80 for a minimum of two people, while private rooms are available for a $100-200 minimum spend with a two-hour time limit.
ESC. Sydney Location & Opening Hours
ESC. is situated at Shop 5 /445 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.
They're open Wednesday to Sunday evenings from 5.30 pm to 10.30 pm, plus Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes from 12 pm to 3 pm.
