You can take a break from daily routines, save some cash on travel, and rediscover your city in a whole new light. Our recent stay at Hilton Sydney was just the perfect family getaway we needed, and let me tell you why.

Family Attractions nearby the Hilton Sydney

 

The hotel is right in the city centre, so it's super convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, and our boys' favourite, the Powerhouse Museum. Plus, my husband could join us after work since his office is nearby.

When we entered our family room on the 42nd floor, the view of Sydney's iconic skyline, including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, was just amazing. Our boys couldn't stop staring at the twinkling city lights at night. It was like we were in a different world, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, just soaking in the beauty of our own city.

Hilton Sydney really knows how to make kids feel special. They gave our boys activity packs filled with puzzles, colouring books, and crayons, along with some yummy chocolates.

 

These little surprises kept them entertained and let us enjoy a few quiet moments. It's the small gestures like these that can make a staycation feel like a true vacation, even when you're just a stone's throw away from home.

The Family Room in the Hilton Sydney

Our family room was super comfy, with two connecting rooms that had plenty of space, two bathrooms, and two TVs. The arrangement was perfect, as we could relax in one room while the kids had their fun in the other. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed, from cozy bathrobes and slippers to coffee and tea facilities.

 

Fun Activities for Families at Hilton Sydney

The hotel's facilities were simply fantastic. We enjoyed the 25-meter lap pool, which is part of Fitness First Pitt St and shared by Hilton Sydney. The pool area even had a designated play area for the kids, so they could splash around without bothering anyone. The other guests didn't seem to mind their presence, and everyone had a great time.

In addition to the pool, Hilton Sydney offers saunas, steam rooms, and a day spa, perfect for parents looking for some relaxation and pampering. For dining options, the hotel has the Glass Brasserie restaurant, Marble Bar, and Caffe Cino café, offering a variety of options to suit every taste.

The food at Hilton Sydney was delish! We had room service one night, and the kids enjoyed their fish & chips, while we treated ourselves to steak, ravioli, and arancini. The presentation was excellent, and the portion sizes were just right.

And the buffet breakfast at the Glass Brasserie? Oh my, the boys went crazy over the pancakes, muffins, waffles, donuts, and fruit. They even had an omelette station where you could get a freshly-made omelette just the way you like it. We might have cleared them out of Nutella! It was the perfect way to start our day and fuel up for our city adventures.

The staff at Hilton Sydney were warm and welcoming, always ready to help and make our stay as enjoyable as possible. They offered suggestions for nearby attractions and even helped us plan our daily outings.

We had such a great time at Hilton Sydney. It's got everything you need for a fun family staycation, and it's in the perfect location. When we asked our boys about their favourite part, they loved the buffet breakfast, the spa, and of course, the pancakes. It was a staycation that offered the best of both worlds – the excitement of exploring our own city and the relaxation of a luxurious hotel experience.
