ellaslist Reviews: Ed.Jnr At Ed.Square Is The Ultimate Boredom Buster

If I hear another “Can I play games on your phone?”,  there's a high chance I might lose it and take my frustrations out on a tub of ice cream and then hide under the doona.

Aaah, school holidays...you tricky beast!

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy going away with the family and spending time with them, but once your pockets are drained, the merry-go-round has officially stopped and the school holidays simply drag on, it’s time for plan ‘B’.

Most parents will agree that conjuring up activities to entertain the little ones can be quite stressful. Trying to find a place to entertain the whole family, no matter what age the kids are or what developmental stage they are at, can be quite a challenge.

I therefore say, look no further and check out options closer to home like Ed.Square Town Centre in Edmondson Park. It’s your one-stop shop for all your dining, shopping, and entertainment needs.

Ed.Square Kids Club

Ed.Jnr at Ed.Square is the ultimate boredom buster throughout winter.

This winter, Ed.Square has you and your little ones covered with an exciting, brand-new kids club: Ed.Jnr - and the best part is it’s FREE to join.

With monthly creative and fun activities designed specifically for ages 3- 8 years old, exclusive invitations to school holiday programs, special family offers, birthday gifts, and so much more, this is definitely the place to be to let your youngsters’ imaginations go wild. What kid wouldn’t want to be a part of free creative sessions such as Bubble Tea Bedazzling, Tote Bag Decorating, and Self-Portrait Painting?!

A Break for Parents

My two munchkins put Ed.Jnr to the test at a free ‘Doughnut Decorating’ workshop and they loved it! Located in the South Mall, Ed.Jnr has set up a space specifically just for our kiddies to enjoy and have fun. Thanks to coordinators Maria and Munzna, I was able to sit back, enjoy my coffee and watch as my two kiddies called upon their innermost Curtis Stone and Jamie Oliver.

The face of a very happy donut decorator!

As they giggled away (squeezing as much icing out of their piping bags onto cinnamon doughnuts)  and bedazzled them with sprinkles galore, I was able to enjoy a few moments to myself. They were then able to take away their masterpieces and enjoy them.

Play Zone

Play Zone at Ed.Square promises to keep the kids busy!

If on the off-chance your kiddies are displaying signs of excessive energy, it’s time to act! I highly recommend you visit the indoor play area located next to The Shed Cafe. If mini trampolines, rock climbing, and a super high slide don’t tire out your youngster, then this ellaslist Explorer doesn’t know what will. This space is separated into smaller developmental areas suitable for younger kiddies in mind (0-4 years old) and older adventurous types (3-7 years old).

Food + Shopping = Fun

You will be spoilt for choice at Ed.Square Town Centre. Whether you and your family are in the mood for an Italian feast at Enzo’s Cucina or a meat fest at Lone Star, there is something for everyone. Why not take a stroll around the leisurely shopping complex and check out some mid-year bargains at City Chic or Duke Store? Cool down and enjoy a sundae (or two) with all the trimmings from Royal Copenhagen Ice-creamery or pick up a sweet treat at Candy Smash.

Parents, when was the last time you did something for yourselves?! Mums, how long has it been since you have had a pedi or a manicure?! Dad’s, what about a hot towel shave followed by a relaxing skin treatment at Mancave Barbershop?

Make these school holidays memorable and visit Ed.Square Town Centre with the whole family. For kid’s activities, competitions, and promos, check out the Ed.Square Town Centre website
