Ahhh the subtropics. Eyeball-sweatingly, searing hot one minute... pelting down cats and dogs the next. It's days like that when you need to get the kids out of the confines of the house and into a climate controlled environment where they wont't get sunstroke and can release some of that pent up enregy.

The team at ellaslist has compiled your must-do guide for the best venues when it's stinking hot.

Digi Roller Skating

Nothing screams retro like a pair of roller skates. While the kids have a great time rolling around the circuit, us grownups can reflect on the 80s and how simple life was back then (yeah right!). Digi holds themed nights that the kids will love and host birthday parties.

Sky Zone

This large complex in Macgregor (biggest indoor trampoline park in Australia to be precise) has enough excitement for kids under the one roof, that you could easily spend the entire day there. They have 100 trampolines connected every which way to allow kids to get creative in their aerial acrobatics. If that’s not enough adrenalin and psychical exertion, they can head to the climbing walls and try their hand at rock climbing. The great thing about the wall at Sky Zone is the auto belay system, meaning climbers can go solo. If gaming appeals to your kids more, Sky Zone has that covered too. They boast the largest laser tag area in Brisbane. A great venue to take all kids of all ages.
