1. The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain

One of the most famous Christmas carols in Sydney is back in 2024 with a mega lineup. Expect A-list performers, magical light displays, and a crowd of thousands all singing together at the 2025 The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain.

2025 is the 43rd year of the Carols, and while the event lineup is yet to be announced, we're expecting big and exciting acts! Bring a picnic blanket, your favourite Christmas hats, and settle in for a night of star-studded carols. The kids will love seeing Santa make a guest appearance, and don’t forget to stick around for the fireworks!

2. Choirs in the City: Martin Place

Sydney's biggest and most famous Christmas tree is the setting of one of the biggest Christmas carol events in Sydney.

Choirs in the City at Martin Place is bringing the merriment this Christmas with plenty of singing under the famous Martin Place Christmas Tree. See a kaleidoscope of colours and decorative lights every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight, along with some incredible vocal talents from an amazing line-up:

3. Blacktown City Christmas Carols

Step into the festive spirit with a joyful family-friendly event at the Blacktown City Christmas Carols. This lively community celebration brings together everything parents love in a holiday outing: great music, tasty food, market stalls, plenty of free entertainment for the kids and a cheerful visit from Santa himself.

Little ones can enjoy a photo moment with the big man in red, get their faces painted by mischievous elves, and dive into free Christmas craft activities. Families can browse the stalls, tuck into delicious treats and enjoy live entertainment and roving performers throughout the night. The evening wraps up with a dazzling pyrotechnic display that will have everyone feeling merry and bright.

4. Georges River Council Magic of Christmas

The magic is returning to Carss Bush Park this year with the Georges River Council Magic of Christmas carols event.

Settle in for evening of festive entertainment, food, fireworks, and a visit from Santa at the Magic of Christmas. Emma Palmer from ABC's Play School will be hosting the event as amazing performers take to the stage to spread the Yuletide cheer.

5. Glebe Christmas Concert

Get ready to dust off your reindeer ears, slip on your party shoes and kick off the festive season at Glebe’s free Christmas concert! 6. Taronga Christmas Concert

7. Carols On The Common

Sydney's second-largest Christmas carols event is back at North Ryde Common with even more entertainment for families! 

Carols On The Common is a highlight of the Christmas calendar and seems to get bigger and bigger every year. Families are invited to enjoy carols by candlelight, carnival rides, food trucks, fireworks, and plenty more.

8. Carols by Candlelight at Fagan Park

Randwick City Council is bringing festive cheer to the coast with the 24th Annual Coogee Carols at Goldstein Reserve, Coogee Beach, this Christmas time!

Enjoy carols by the water at the annual Balmoral Carols.

Hosted by Mosman Village Church, the Balmoral Carols is a much-loved Christmas event held at the famous Rotunda at Balmoral Beach.
