A Week-Long Festival of Eurovision Is Coming

  • Family

For the first time in history, the legendary Eurovision song contest has been cancelled. The live Europop concert phenomena that was scheduled to take place in Rotterdam next month will not go ahead this year, but with performers from 41 countries waiting in the wings to compete, the show must go on!

SBS has come to the rescue with an epic alternative - a week-long Eurovision Festival. The festival will hit the small screen on Sunday 10th May with a lineup of new specials and grand final repeats, including a showcase of all previous Aussie entrants so far including Guy Sebastian, Dani Im, Isaiah, Jessica Mauboy and Kate Miller-Heidke.

The pinnacle of the event is a virtual Eurovision extravaganza - and you can join in the fun. Check out all the would-be 2020 competitors on the SBS website before Sunday 3 May, and cast a vote for your favourites (voting is open now)! Then tune into Eurovision 2020: Big Night In on 16th May for the best Saturday night you’ll have in lockdown. Watch as they count down the winners, see special guest appearances and catch a live performance from Montaigne, this year's Aussie entrant, in this must-see special event.
