  • Family

Talk about a glow up. The former MLC Centre is set to get a $170 million makeover which will see the arrival of 30 flash restaurants, a revived theatre and shopping destination.

And ambitiously, it’s set to be ready to open in October 2021.

Rebranded as 25 Martin Place, the plaza is get a total transformation from its tired old self.

First up, there will be the much-needed arrival of upmarket restaurants, such as Nour and Bostawana Butchery.

This will be a fancy alternative to the popular food court on the buildings lower floors which will remain largely untouched.

And the planned pedestrianisation of George Street between Bathurst Street and Rawson Place mean there’s plans for an outdoor dining hub to be up and running by mid-2022.
