Bicentennial Park

Bicentennial Park is the crown jewel of the park, offering over 40 hectares of beautiful parklands. Here, you can take a leisurely stroll or bike ride along the extensive network of paths that wind through wetlands, woodlands, and picnic areas. The park's centrepiece is the stunning Lake Belvedere, where you can enjoy a peaceful picnic by the water, hire a pedal boat, or simply relax and soak in the natural beauty. To soak up the best views of the park, Homebush and the city skyline, climb up to the top of the Treillage Tower.

Badu Mangroves
The Badu Mangroves

Did you know that the Olympic Park is home to a centuries-old mangrove forest? Nestled between the southern shore of Homebush Bay and Bicentennial Park lies the Badu Mangroves, 56 hectares of stunning wetlands that house mangroves, protected estuarine vegetation, and more than 200 species of native birds. The Mangroves are open daily and can be visited via the Badu Mangrove Boardwalk.

Also at Wentworth Commons, the famous Brickpit Ring is a must-visit.

The Brickpit Ring Walk offers a fascinating insight into the industrial past of the area while providing spectacular views from the elevated walkway. Along the way, you'll encounter interpretive signs and artwork that tell the story of the park's transformation from an industrial wasteland to a world-class sports precinct and outdoor recreation area. Look out for the resident Green and Golden Bell Frog!

Walks & Bike Riding

What's on at Sydney Olympic Park
One of the best ways to see the Park is on a fun bike ride.

Sydney Olympic Park is rich in history, and the best way to explore it is on foot. The park offers several self-guided heritage walks that take you through significant historical sites, from Aboriginal heritage to the more recent Olympic history.

The Park is also a cyclist's dream, with over 35 kilometres of dedicated bike trails suitable for all levels. The loop around Bicentennial Park is perfect for a leisurely ride, while the more adventurous can tackle the challenging hills of the Olympic Circuit.

For a fun family activity, hire a bike from one of the rental stations in the park and explore at your own pace. There's also a BMX track and mountain biking area for those looking to test their skills on more rugged terrain.

Archery Centre
