Big Play Energy at the New Shannons Paddock Playground
Exciting news, Sydney families! Shannons Paddock Playground has undergone a major upgrade, and it's packed with fun, heritage-inspired features.
Big Play Energy at the New Shannons Paddock Playground
Located on Darcy Road near the border of Westmead and Wentworthville, this unique spot is about to become your new favourite hangout.
Inspired by the historic Shannon's Brick, Tile, and Pottery Factory, which operated from 1912 to 1982, the revamped playground features a high ropes course built into a replica of the old factory. Adventurous kids can have a blast sliding down a "cool" polished concrete slide, scaling a climbing wall, and swinging through the air—all while surrounded by the shady trees.
For the little adventurers, there are in-ground trampolines, low ropes courses, and slides. And, of course, two epic swing sets (including a basket swing) are part of the deal. With picnic tables, a barbecue, and loads of seating, parents can relax while the kids explore every inch of this fun-filled space.
Additionally, the design keeps the playground nestled under those mature trees, so there's plenty of shade on sunny days. Throw in some heritage brick and stone balance blocks, and you've got yourself a playground that's equal parts history lesson and adventure!
