Bookworms, families, and tech enthusiasts, have you heard the news? Kirrawee has levelled up with the arrival of the brand-new Kirrawee Library+!

Located in the heart of South Village, the new community library is opening up a whole new world of fun, learning, and creativity in one incredible new space.

Kirrawee Library+ is a Bright New Chapter for Families

Kirrawee Library+ is a modern library where you can not only dive into a good book but also unleash your inner movie director, podcast star, or musical maestro! This state-of-the-art facility, spanning 1500 square metres on the ground floor, has been designed with families in mind.

New Library, Technology and Community Hub in Kirrawee

Sutherland Shire Council consulted the community in 2023 to determine what was needed from a new library. A children's area for reading, play and storytimes; a multi-use quiet space for parents and people with sensory needs; and more space for collaboration and work/study were among the top suggestions. 

The modern, tech-savvy hub will include:

• Bright Children's Space: A colourful and vibrant area where kids can let their imaginations run wild.
• Event Spaces: Perfect for community events, special screenings, and more.
• Creative Studios: Got a budding musician or filmmaker at home? The recording and film studios are where their dreams can come to life.
• Books Galore: A fantastic collection of books for every age and interest.

Location & Opening Times

The new library is located at 6 Kiln Road, Kirrawee.

Opening times are daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
