KIDS❜ Cove: A Brand-New Aqua Park Just For Little Kids

Little water lovers are getting their very own place to make a splash at Cables Wake Park, with the brand-new KIDS' Cove Aqua Park opening in Penrith for the 2026 season.

Created especially for children aged three to five, KIDS' Cove gives younger adventurers a water playground designed with their size and stage in mind. So if your preschooler has been eyeing the huge inflatables at Cables and wondering when it will finally be their turn, their turn has finally arrived!

KIDS' Cove at Cables Wake Park

KIDS' Cove is the newest addition to Cables Wake Park's popular Aqua Park, giving little kids their own dedicated space to splash around on the water.

Sessions run for 50 minutes, with an adult joining children in the water throughout the session. Each supervising adult can accompany up to two children, making it a handy option for siblings or little mates who want to tackle the course together. Children must be able to swim unaided.

And while KIDS' Cove is strictly for ages three to five, children aged six and over can graduate to the main Cables Aqua Park next door. Children aged two and under aren't permitted on either Aqua Park.

How Much is KIDS' Cove?

A 50-minute KIDS' Cove session costs $29, which includes entry for one child and one supervising adult. An additional child can join the same adult for $11, as long as the 1:2 adult-to-child supervision ratio is maintained.

Cables Aqua Grip Socks are also mandatory for Aqua Park participants and cost $5 a pair if you don't already have them. You can reuse them on future visits.

KIDS' Cove Opening Hours

KIDS' Cove arrives just in time for the spring school holidays, with Cables Aqua Park reopening for the season on Saturday 26 September 2026.

Current Aqua Park opening hours are:

26 September-11 October 2026: daily, 11 am to 3.50 pm

17 October-29 November 2026: Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4.50 pm

30 November 2026-31 January 2027: daily, 10 am to 4.50 pm

6 February-28 March 2027: Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4.50 pm

3-4 April 2027: 11 am to 3.50 pm

10-24 April 2027: daily, 11 am to 3.50 pm

Public holiday hours can vary, and sessions are subject to capacity, so book ahead.

Little Kids, This One's Just For You

For families with preschoolers who want to get involved in the Cables action, KIDS' Cove is designed especially for them. They get an aqua adventure made specifically for their age group, while parents are right there in the water to lend a hand when needed.

Add warm spring weather and 50 minutes of serious splashing, and we suspect there'll be plenty of soggy, happy preschoolers emerging from this one.
