Hunter Valley Gardens
Soak up the stunning natural environment of The Gardens over eight kilometres of walking paths through 14 hectares of gardens consisting of over 6000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over 1 million ground cover plants, plus waterfalls, statues, murals and much more. The ten individually themed gardens showcase the artistry of gardens around the world and use both native and exotic varieties of plants.
One of the family favourites is The Storybook Garden. This magical garden features nursery rhyme characters such as Humpty Dumpty, Jack and Jill and Alice in Wonderland, to name a few.
Signature Events Throughout The Year
The Garden's signature events are renowned within the region and attended by visitors from across the country. The Gardens also transform with the seasons, adding spectacular Christmas lights in December and Snow Time in the Gardens over the winter months.
Mega Creatures and an Easter Hunt are also popular with families and fun for all ages, plus The Rose Spectacular and Spring Time in the Garden are must-see events.
Family-Friendly Dining Options
Hunter Valley Gardens has several dining options on offer for visitors and guests. Within the gardens, you’ll find The Garden Terrace, which features alfresco dining overlooking the Oriental Garden, if you’re after a more lively option Harrigan’s Irish Pub is a short drive away and offers relaxed family-friendly dining. Plus, our Shopping Village also has a selection of cafes for quick and tasty meals.
Carnival Rides
The Gardens have now installed rides that are part of The Gardens as a permanent feature and are open during events and in the school holidays.

Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village is a unique collection of bespoke shops offering everything from delicious meals, lunchtime treats, coffee and wine to stunning glassware, jewellery, unique clothing and divine candles.
