WonderLab
Coming to Woollahra Library on 9 July, WonderLab is a drop-in experience that's packed with more than 30 hands-on experiments covering light, sound, electromagnetism, forces, puzzles and illusions — the kind of stuff that makes kids go wide-eyed and parents quietly learn things they probably should have paid more attention to in school!
What to Expect at WonderLab at Woollahra Library
Once they've worked through the experiments, budding engineers can head to the Tinkering Activity Station for open-ended building challenges with materials such as KAPLA blocks. There's no right or wrong answer, just imagination, a bit of trial and error, and the very real possibility of a spectacular structural collapse.
The brains behind WonderLab is science educator Parker McLean, who studied Physics, Maths and Science Communication in Canada and has performed over 300 live science shows and 150 hands-on workshops.
WonderLab is a drop-in experience for all ages, with entry times beginning every 30 minutes and a maximum of 25 people per session, so it stays hands-on and never overwhelming. Please sign in on arrival.
