Help Your Teen Succeed with Tuning in to Teens™ - A Parenting Program for Emotional Intelligence

Discover the power of emotional intelligence with Tuning in to Teens™, a parenting program designed to help parents guide their teens in understanding and regulating their emotions. Join . The Poppet Centre for this transformative program that will give you the tools to help your teen succeed in social situations, manage conflict, and cope with difficult emotions.

Through video material, group discussions, exercises, role plays, and home activities, you'll learn the skills of emotion coaching and how to apply them in real-life situations. Participating parents are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas within the group, and group leaders will use these as examples to teach the skills of emotion coaching.

Studies show that emotional intelligence is a better predictor of academic and career success than IQ, and adolescents with higher emotional intelligence are more successful in social situations, better at managing conflict, and have fewer mental health and substance abuse difficulties.

The Process of the Intensive

The typical facilitation of the Tuning in to Teens™ program is one session per week for six weeks. The Poppet Centre has found that many busy families find this extended commitment a challenge, so they have created an intensive 4-step model that works better for our client group.

Here's how it works...

  1. One full day of theory and group coaching;
  2. One 90-minute individual coaching session with one of the facilitators within 6-days from completion of the full days training;
  3. Voluntary participation in our peer group open-ended coaching with other past participants; and
  4. One 90-minute review coaching session with one of the facilitators within 3-weeks of the first individual coaching session.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to help your teen succeed - sign up for Tuning in to Teens™ today! This program is a six-week evidence-based program for parents of 9-18 year olds and runs for 2 hours per week.
