A Blooming Great Day Out at St Catherine's School's Magnolia Fair

Spring is in the air, and one of Sydney's favourite community celebrations is back! St Catherine's School's 170th Magnolia Fair returns on Saturday 5 September 2026, bringing families together for a joyful day packed with classic fete favourites including rides, food and market stalls, music and performances and even a chance to relax with a glass of champagne or some tea and scones. 

The Magnolia Fair has been delighting generations of families for decades, and this year's event is even more special as it marks St Catherine's School's incredible 170th anniversary. A beautiful commemorative installation of 170 blooms will take shape throughout the day as students from Kindergarten to Year 12 create handcrafted ribbon flowers on the Cloisters Lawn.

From 2 pm to 2.30 pm, gather for the anniversary celebrations, featuring a celebratory toast and cake cutting in front of the spectacular bloom backdrop.

Springtime Fun For Kids

There's plenty to keep kids entertained throughout the day, including:

• Carnival rides
• A lively kids' disco
• Face painting
• A petting zoo
• Adopt a Bear stall

Adding to the vibrant community atmosphere, talented St Catherine's students will take to the stage with live music and performances.

Come hungry because the Magnolia Fair serves up plenty of crowd favourites. Grab a classic barbecue lunch, tuck into fresh Mexican bowls or treat yourself to sweet and savoury delights while wandering the fair.
