Orange Blossom Festival Returns to The Hills
The Hills will burst into bloom this spring as the Orange Blossom Festival returns with glowing gardens, a colourful community parade and a riverside food festival.
Running across September and October, the long-standing celebration honours the region's history as one of Sydney's major citrus-growing areas. The 2026 program spreads the festivities across Bella Vista, Rouse Hill and Wisemans Ferry, giving families plenty of reasons to explore The Hills.

Come and Try BMX Day
Curious kids and adults can experience the speed and excitement of BMX racing at Castle Hill BMX Club. The Come and Try Day welcomes riders of all ages who are ready to test their skills on the track.

Kenthurst Fair
Kenthurst Fair returns with a lively street parade, stage entertainment and amusement rides for different ages. Families can also browse the food stalls and soak up the friendly village atmosphere.

Wander Through the Moon Garden at Bella Vista Farm
Once the sun disappears, Bella Vista Farm will be transformed into a secret nocturnal garden for Echoes – Moon Garden.
The immersive light and sound experience will lead visitors through enchanting pathways filled with large-scale installations, interactive displays and special effects. Created by The Hills Shire Council in partnership with Laservision Australia, the new production follows the successful debut of Echoes at Bella Vista in 2025.
There will also be plenty to snack on while exploring the garden. Toby's Milkbar will be serving burgers, loaded fries and fried chicken, while Gelato Messina will arrive with its famous flavours and a limited-edition mystery creation. Visitors will also find pizza, churros, coffee and glow-in-the-dark fairy floss.

The OBF Parade at Rouse Hill
The Orange Blossom Festival Parade will fill Main Street at Rouse Hill Town Centre with floats, community groups and local performers.
Young PAW Patrol fans should keep an eye out for special appearances from their favourite pups along the parade route. Free entertainment will continue throughout the afternoon with face painting, gardening workshops and an Orange Blossom Festival photo booth.
A dedicated Secret Garden will provide a quiet retreat for neurodivergent visitors who need some time away from the noise and activity.

Jazz at The Pines
Settle beneath the pine trees at historic Roughley House for a relaxing afternoon of live jazz. The leafy Dural setting creates a beautiful backdrop for music and a laid-back spring outing.

Take a Delicious Day Trip to Wisemans Ferry
A Taste of Wisemans will bring the Orange Blossom Festival to the banks of the Hawkesbury River for a relaxed day of local food, drinks and family entertainment.
Food trucks will roll into Wisemans Ferry Park alongside wineries and distilleries, creating an easy excuse to plan a spring day trip to the rural north of The Hills.
Kids can meet animals at the petting zoo, enjoy a pony ride or try cookie decorating. Circus workshops, gardening activities and face painting will also run throughout the day, with live music adding to the riverside atmosphere.

Spring Spring Family Fun Day
This inclusive community day is designed to help people connect through shared activities in a welcoming and supportive environment. The program focuses on social engagement while giving families the chance to enjoy time together.
