Celebrate Science Week with a FREE family day out at Western Sydney Parklands
Lizard Log Amphitheatre transforms into a buzzing science village with over 30 interactive stalls, live shows, wildlife encounters, and incredible experiments that’ll leave both kids and grown-ups wide-eyed.
Highlights include:
- Ginger the life-sized Australovenator dinosaur roaming the event
- Creative Science Shows - physics, chemistry and space marvels with guaranteed “wow!” moments
- Young Entomologist Lab - bug nets at the ready!
- Aboriginal Science Village - pop-up workshops showcasing traditional plant knowledge, natural dyes and bush cordials
- Museum of Fire exhibition & vintage firetruck display
- Chats with real researchers from local universities (like Inspiring Australia NSW)
There’s something for everyone, with experiences that light up curiosity, spark big questions and bring the whole park alive!
What's New:
Ready to unearth 2025’s NEW stalls? Take control of a Lego robot by Creative Playground, see a vintage fire engine from the Museum of Fire, fly towards the Powerful Owl Project activity station, and enjoy honey tastings and beekeeping tales from The Honey Barn. A new Aboriginal Science Village will also bring natural dying, seaweed harvesting, medicinal plants and bush cordial tastings to Science in the Scrub this year, plus a live science show!
With food trucks and plenty of picnic areas available, families will be able to settle in for a full day of entertainment and educational experiences that connect kids to nature.
