NEW: Upcycled Animal Creations Workshop

These school holidays, creativity meets conservation in Featherdale's brand-new Upcycled Animal Creations Workshop, delivered in partnership with Reverse Garbage. Kids will transform rescued and recycled materials into imaginative animal creations and habitat models, while learning how small everyday choices can help protect Australia’s native wildlife.

A hands-on experience that brings together art, sustainability and real Featherdale wildlife inspiration, perfect for curious young minds.

Mini Makers (Ages 5–8) – Create a Critter
Inspired by Featherdale’s native animals, children will design and build their own animal using reclaimed materials, exploring creativity, texture and sustainable making.

Monday 13th July & Thursday 16th July
10 am – 11 am – Mini Makers (Ages 5–8 years)
$20 per child (plus park admission required)

Junior Makers (Ages 9–13) – Reclaimed Habitats
Participants will explore Australia’s unique wildlife and build a miniature habitat model using recycled materials, learning how human activity impacts the environment.

Be A Zookeeper for a Day

For the ultimate wildlife experience, the Zookeeper for a Day program lets kids step behind the scenes at Featherdale. Participants will help care for animals, assist keepers, and learn what it takes to look after Australia’s most loved wildlife in a real working zoo environment.
