Tumbalong Park will be bursting with festive cheer this December as one of the most joyful family outings of the season comes to town - Santa’s Christmas Picnic! With live entertainment, festive bites, crafty fun and, of course, Santa himself, this outdoor celebration wraps up everything families love about Christmas and serves it picnic-style in the heart of Darling Harbour.

What’s On at Santa’s Christmas Picnic

Families can dive into a full day of Christmas fun with something happening at every turn. Little ones can visit Santa and Mrs Claus, roll up their sleeves in the craft and activity zones or dance along to the live Christmas stage program. There will be music, performances and plenty of magical surprises sprinkled throughout the day.

There are also festive food trucks, sweet treats for mid-afternoon pick-me-ups and a line-up of local makers selling Christmas goodies at the market stalls. Parents can book a reserved picnic space and settle in while the kids explore everything on offer.

This is a celebration designed for families to enjoy together. Wander the market stalls for gifts, discover local makers, share something delicious from the food trucks and make the most of the photo spots dotted around the park, with the harbour as the backdrop!

Meet Santa

No Christmas picnic is complete without Santa, and he’s arriving with Mrs Claus for meet and greet sessions across both days. Families can take photos, say hello and soak up those classic Christmas moments.
