With spring in full swing, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan has transformed into a breathtaking sea of colour, with one of the largest paper daisy displays on Australia’s east coast now in full bloom.

From early September, the Connections Garden near the Visitor Centre bursts to life with vibrant pink, white and yellow paper daisies, including Rhodanthe chlorocephala, Rhodanthe manglesii and Schoenia filifolia.

This gorgeous floral display, now a cherished annual tradition, began nearly three decades ago after the Garden’s horticultural team returned from a trip to Western Australia inspired by its wildflower landscapes.

More than a million seeds are carefully cultivated each year to create this stunning spectacle, which celebrates the beauty of native flora and the dedication of the Garden’s expert team. The result is a breathtaking colour gradient that shifts across the beds, creating a truly unforgettable experience for visitors.

Families and nature lovers can explore the gardens at their own pace or join a guided Connections Garden Tour every Friday during spring and autumn to learn more about the science and story behind this floral masterpiece.
