National Tree Day in the City of Parramatta


Join the City of Parramatta and your local communities by coming together to support and improve the environment at National Tree Day in the City of Parramatta.

City of Parramatta's National Tree Day 2023

Planting trees and native vegetation is essential for the health of our ecosystems and can have a positive impact on the local environment, including air and water quality, as well as supporting biodiversity. This Family Fun Day will engage people of all ages in environmental initiatives and educate them on the importance of conservation efforts.

Along with planting trees there will be activities, including a wildlife display, workshops, face painting, roving entertainers, community sausage sizzle and much more!

 

City of Parramatta's National Tree Day is a fantastic opportunity for families to learn about native flora and fauna, and get involved in loads of activities, including a wildlife display, workshops, face painting, roving entertainers, community sausage sizzle and much more!

There will also be two plant giveaway stalls, with a total of 1,500 plants (limited to one plant per person). Be sure to register for the event and come along to Upjohn Park Reserve on Sunday 30 July. It's a chance to make a positive difference in your local community and have some fun at the same time! 

This Family Fun Day will engage people of all ages in environmental initiatives and educate them on the importance of conservation efforts.

 

Note: Please wear long sleeves, long pants, closed sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Please ensure you bring your water bottle to refill at our free water station. No water will be purchasable at the event. On-site training, tools, gloves, and some refreshments will be provided. 

Where:   Upjohn Park Reserve, 71 Ulm Street, Ermington
When:    Sunday 30 July 2023, 10 am - 2 pm
Cost:      This is a FREE event, but catering and gardening tools will be provided so registrations are essential.
