Discover what it's like to shop online with low vision or blindness at this unique shopping experience by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.  Ahead of Black Friday, shoppers can explore curated, pre-loved fashion items from Uturn, but with a twist – each item is concealed, offering only a brief description.

Blackout Friday aims to raise awareness of the online shopping challenges faced by over half a million Australians with low vision or blindness, who often struggle with inadequate product descriptions online. You can browse and take home a free vintage piece, hidden within packaging, reflecting the online shopping experience for many.

Highlighting that only 3.7% of the internet’s top 1 million websites are accessible, with shopping sites being 43% less accessible, the event hopes to encourage online brands to offer more inclusive product descriptions.
