Oh, Bother! Winnie the Pooh is Taking Over The Grounds of Alexandria

There's something rather sweet brewing at The Grounds of Alexandria, and it looks like a certain honey-loving bear is behind it.

Celebrate 100 Years of Winnie the Pooh at The Grounds

The Grounds has started teasing its next spectacular laneway transformation, with Winnie the Pooh set to take over from Friday 11 September 2026. While the finer details are still tucked away somewhere in the Hundred Acre Wood, early teasers point to a whimsical Disney-inspired celebration marking 100 years of Winnie the Pooh.

If past takeovers are anything to go by, families can expect The Grounds to go all out with elaborate installations, larger-than-life decorations and plenty of seriously cute photo opportunities. The venue is famous for completely transforming its Alexandria laneways several times a year, with immersive displays inspired by much-loved stories and characters.

And really, what better excuse to fill the place with honey pots, Hundred Acre Wood magic and perhaps a familiar friend or two?

The new theme will follow the current Barbie™ x Megan Hess installation, which finishes on Sunday 6 September, before The Grounds begins its next transformation.

Exactly what Pooh Bear has planned remains under wraps for now, so watch this space - we'll update the details as soon as The Grounds spills the hunny.

Good to Know Before You Go

Access to the Winnie the Pooh installation is reserved for diners only, so book a table at The Cafe, The Garden or The Potting Shed and hold onto your receipt. There's no extra cost to explore once you've dined.

The laneways are open-air, pram-friendly and welcome well-behaved dogs on leads.
