There's something rather sweet brewing at The Grounds of Alexandria, and it looks like a certain honey-loving bear is behind it.

The Grounds of Alexandria has thrown open its laneways to the Hundred Acre Wood, transforming the Alexandria site to mark 100 years of Winnie the Pooh. Familiar faces, hidden details and playful surprises are tucked through the laneways for families to spot as they wander, with a little storybook magic along the way (no heffalumps or woozles have been spotted, as far as we know).

Start at The Cafe, The Garden or The Potting Shed before exploring — access to the installation is reserved for diners, so book a table and hold onto your receipt.

Menu Specials

  • The Hundred Acre Hive – $28 | Mini cake, The Cafe. Honey vanilla sponge, raspberry and passionfruit. Contains gluten, eggs, dairy.
  • Hunny Business – $20 | Milkshake, The Cafe. Caramel and banana, topped with whipped cream, cookie crumbs and gold sparkle. Contains gluten, dairy.
  • A Little Something – $39 | Shared dessert for two, The Potting Shed. Cocoa sponge, cherry confit, vanilla mascarpone, chocolate ganache and honeycomb ice cream. Contains gluten, nuts, eggs, dairy.
  • Sticky Situation – $17 | Mocktail, The Potting Shed. Mango, passionfruit, citrus and soda.
  • Silly Old Smoothie – $16 | Smoothie, The Garden. Mango, vanilla and strawberry, topped with cookie crumbs and gold sparkle. Contains gluten, dairy.

Good to Know Before You Go

Access to the Winnie the Pooh installation is reserved for diners only, so book a table at The Cafe, The Garden or The Potting Shed and hold onto your receipt. There's no extra cost to explore once you've dined.

The laneways are open-air, pram-friendly and welcome well-behaved dogs on leads.
