Sydney Comedy Festival Presents Great Laugh in the Park

Get ready for a full day of laughs and entertainment as Great Laugh in the Park takes over Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour on Saturday 26 April.

Presented by the Sydney Comedy Festival, this free, all-ages event promises non-stop fun with something for everyone.

Sydney Comedy Festival Presents Great Laugh in the Park

Great Laugh in the Park kicks off with a family-friendly comedy program hosted by Aussie favourite Jimmy Rees (ABC Kids’ Giggle and Hoot), joined by beloved characters and acts including:

• Dorothy the Dinosaur from The Wiggles
• The Listies, the award-winning comedy duo from ABC’s Art Blast
• The Greatest Magic Show, fresh from Edinburgh Fringe, with astonishing illusions and circus spectacle

As the sun sets, the main stage comes alive with Gala on the Green, featuring an all-star comedy line-up:

• Sara Pascoe (8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown)
• Drew Lynch, Golden Buzzer winner on America’s Got Talent
• Kemah Bob, known from BBC’s QI
• Aussie favourites Nick Cody, Matt Okine, and the hilarious Aunty Donna

The party continues into the night with live music from Furnace and the Fundamentals and DJ sets to keep the good vibes going.

Across the park’s three entertainment zones—the Giggle Garden, The Alcazar Circus Tent, and the main stage—you’ll also find roving performers, food trucks, a pop-up bar, face painting, crazy hair stations, crafts, and more.

FREE Kids Comedy Workshops

Do you have a class clown in your family? Check out our FREE Kids Comedy Workshops as part of the Great Laugh in the Park!

Kids from 5 - 17 can come on down to the Darling Quarter Theatre and learn comedy skills with the best in the biz! Little ones can play some games and practice getting comfortable and silly on stage, while older kids can learn about the craft of joke writing.

Workshops will be filled on a first come first served basis on the day, so make sure to arrive early!

Workshop Times: 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm

This is the Sydney Comedy Festival’s first major free outdoor family event—and it’s not to be missed. Make sure you register your attendance!
