The annual Granny Smith Festival celebrates the life and legacy of one of our district’s most famous citizens, Maria Ann Smith - aka Granny Smith - who, back in 1868, ‘accidentally’ grew the first batch of little green apples that bear her name and are now grown all over the world.

The Granny Smith Festival began in 1985 and is now regarded as one of Sydney’s largest street festivals, a true community carnival, full of colour and good old fashioned fun. It attracts over 90,000 each year and is supported by local businesses, sporting and service organisations, schools and the wider community.

From market stalls offering unique crafts and goods to a variety of food trucks serving delicious eats, there's something for everyone. The festival will feature engaging performances and a dedicated youth zone filled with activities and workshops for the younger crowd. And, of course, the grand street parade will showcase over 700 local participants, adding a vibrant and communal spirit to the festivities.

Prepare to be swept off your feet as the festival unfolds a colossal day of entertainment across six stages!

Families can revel in a myriad of performances, including singing and dance competitions, cultural demonstrations, and live bands. Little ones will be enchanted by kids' shows featuring stage performances and a special meet-and-greet with JJ from CocoMelon! And as the stars twinkle above, the festival will reach its crescendo with a performance by the multi-platinum selling, ARIA nominated popstar, Ricki-Lee, ensuring the night concludes on a melodious note.

The day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display and a special celebrity performance, leaving attendees of all ages in awe.
