Spring is blooming in the nation’s capital, and that can only mean one thing—Floriade is back! Canberra’s stunning Commonwealth Park will once again transform into a kaleidoscope of colour for this month-long floral festival, now in its 38th year.

This year’s theme, Science and Nature, brings a playful twist to the flowerbeds with interactive exhibits, fascinating displays, and hands-on fun for curious minds of all ages. Expect over one million vibrant blooms creating a picture-perfect setting for a jam-packed program of live entertainment, music, cultural celebrations, delicious eats, market stalls, workshops, and family fun.

What’s On at Floriade 2025

Here's what's on the agenda at Floriade this year. 

  • Floriade Sprouts: Little green thumbs can pot a plant or join in a story session with ACT Libraries.

  • Gnome Knoll: Get creative and paint your very own gnome to take home—keep an eye out for hidden ones along the gnome hunt.

  • Kazador Tent: Don’t miss the hilarious kids’ show Children Are Stinky—a quirky crowd favourite.

  • Live Entertainment: Enjoy performances on stage and throughout the park with roving entertainers adding extra flair.

  • Windows to the World Showcase (Saturday 11 Oct): A global village experience with traditional dress, dance, music, food and more from around the world.

  • Dogs’ Day Out (Sunday 12 Oct): Bring your four-legged friend along for a paw-some final day of the festival.

From 2–5 October, NightFest is bringing the sparkle to Commonwealth Park with four evenings of colour, music, and after-dark fun. Wander through illuminated flower beds, soak up the vibes with live music and roving performers, and treat yourself to delicious eats and drinks from a great lineup of food stalls and bars.

It’s the ultimate spring night out—mark your calendar and stay tuned for the full program and entertainment lineup for NightFest 2025!
