Real Festival Is Back In Penrith For One Huge Weekend This Spring

Set in the picturesque Tench Reserve by the Nepean River, this free festival is the perfect way to welcome spring with your family. Ideal for all ages, the festival offers a plethora of activities that promise a good time without breaking the bank.

Real Festival takes the festival experience up a notch with a spectacular fusion of fun, including live entertainment, art, markets, workshops, activities and adventures. 

Real Festival Is Back In Penrith For One Huge Weekend This Spring

Penrith’s biggest family event is returning to light up Western Sydney this spring! Real Festival will bring an unmissable riverside experience to life over three epic days this September. It’s free to attend and packed with immersive and interactive art installations, arcade games, live performances, creative workshops, and exciting on-water activities for an action-packed family weekend.

Browse market stalls, grab a bite from some of Sydney’s best food trucks, and relax at the riverside pop-up Festival bar.

There is a dedicated kids zone and stage, and a bubble station, to keep the little ones entertained all weekend, and don't miss the kids' LEGO workshop, and FREE rides on the iconic Nepean Belle (on Sunday only). 

Please note that the FREE LEGO Brickart Workshop and Real Festival Laser Tag are both bookable events, so get in quick and book your spot! 

Real Festival 2025 Highlights

Tench Reserve will be transformed into a wonderland of colour, music and activity, with highlights including:

• Watch captivating performances on the Riverside Stage, and join us on the Riverbank on Friday and Saturday night for Riverside Laser, an on-water show sponsored by Busways
• Discover roving performances from The Curious Legends, turning everyday places into glowing wonderlands
• Hit the dance floor at the Silent Disco on Friday and Saturday night
• Try your luck at the Open-Air Arcade, where you can play classic games under the stars and book into a round of Laser Tag with family and friends. Spots are limited!
• Step into a world of wonder with HEXADECA’s playful sound garden, explore the shimmering magic of Evanescent, and look up to see stories come alive in lights after dark with Illuminart’s Celestial Canopy
• Get creative with hands-on workshops for all ages, with a variety of drop-in activities
• On Sunday only, make a splash with unique on-water activities featuring Dragon Boat races, Kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboarding and FREE rides on the iconic Nepean Belle! 
• Eat global delights from some of Sydney’s top street food trucks, with exclusive festival-only dishes
• Take a stroll through the treasures at the artisan markets
