Real Festival 2026

Get ready to look up. REAL Festival returns to Tench Reserve from 11-13 September 2026, and this year's theme is Flight, all about new perspectives, big imagination and letting your family's sense of wonder loose for a weekend.

Set in the picturesque Tench Reserve by the Nepean River, this free festival is the perfect way to welcome spring with your family. Ideal for all ages, the festival offers a plethora of activities that promise a good time without breaking the bank.

REAL Festival is Taking Flight in Penrith This September

Set along the Nepean River, the free festival transforms Penrith into a playground of art, light and performance across land and water. There'll be immersive art installations kids can wander through and interact with, live music and performances, hands-on creative workshops, and a solid lineup of food trucks to keep everyone fuelled between activities.

The full program hasn't dropped yet, but if past years are any guide, expect a mix of large-scale light and art installations, family-friendly performances, and plenty of space to wander, play and explore right on the riverbank.
