What's On at Bondi Festival of the Winds

Every year, Bondi Beach transforms into a kaleidoscope of colours as hundreds of kites take to the skies for the Festival of the Winds. It's like nature's own art gallery but better, because you can join in the fun! Whether you're a seasoned kite flyer with a tricked-out kite or a newbie with a simple diamond, everyone's welcome to let their creativity soar.

The event sprawls across Bondi Beach, so bring your picnic blanket, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure. This is a free event, making it the perfect day out for families, friends, or even a solo escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The 2026 program includes live performances, music, dancing, colourful roaming performers, and hands-on kite-making workshops for kids and families.
