Hold on to your hats (or better yet, your kites!) because the Bondi Festival of the Winds is back, and it's more spectacular than ever!

If you've ever dreamed of seeing the sky painted with a rainbow of kites, dancing in the breeze over Sydney's most iconic beach, then this is the event for you.

Every year, Bondi Beach transforms into a kaleidoscope of colours as hundreds of kites take to the skies for the Festival of the Winds. It's like nature's own art gallery—only better, because you can join in the fun! Whether you're a seasoned kite flyer with a tricked-out kite or a newbie with a simple diamond, everyone's welcome to let their creativity soar.

The event sprawls across Bondi Beach, so bring your picnic blanket, sunscreen, and a sense of adventure. This is a free event, making it the perfect day out for families, friends, or even a solo escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Festival of the Winds is a great day out for the whole family with a program that includes live performances, music and dancing, colourful roaming performers, and a striking exhibition accompanied by origami and collage workshops throughout the day.

There’s even more activity this year in the Kids’ Courtyard at the rear of Bondi Pavilion with Circus Works, lawn games and face painting. Make your own Things with Wings in the Bondi Pavilion Pottery Studios, see a short film or just sit on the grass and enjoy the family-friendly tunes from our local Eastside Radio DJs.

Families can head to Bondi Park and visit the popular petting zoo, enjoy kids' rides and tuck into delicious food at an array of stalls.
