Thredbo Winter 2023 Opening Weekend

Celebrate the arrival of winter at Thredbo Resort with a fun-filled Opening Weekend. Whether you're a seasoned skier, snowboarder, or simply looking for a refreshing mountain getaway, this weekend has something for everyone. We're talking snow blessings, fireworks, ice sculptures and endless activities for the kids.

Cost:     A season pass purchase is recommended, with a kids pass starting at $1079 but free events are available.

Sunrise Sessions

Start your day off right with the iconic Sunrise Sessions. Experience the beauty of the sunrise at Australia's Highest Lifted Point, followed by an on-mountain breakfast and a G.H. Mumm mimosa. Cap off the perfect morning with the first tracks down Supertrail, Australia's longest run.

G.H. Mumm Long Lunch

Celebrate the start of the winter season in style with the infamous G.H. Mumm Long Lunch. Held in the Kosciuszko Room & Cascades Restaurant, indulge in a luxurious lunch with stunning views of Thredbo's slopes.

Kareela Supper Clubs & Snowcat Dinners presented by G.H. Mumm

Elevate your Saturday night with the Kareela Supper Club or enjoy a mid-week treat with Kareela Snowcat Dinners. Ride the Gondola to Merritts Mountain House, where a snowcat will take you to Kareela Hutte. Witness the spectacular Thredbo Flare Run and Fireworks Show before enjoying a decadent dinner experience.
