Double Bay Christmas Festival 2026 Brings Fireworks, Rides and a Free Star-Studded Concert

Deck the lawns and grab the picnic rug, because Christmas is coming to Double Bay! On Saturday 28 November 2026, Steyne Park transforms into a festive wonderland for the Double Bay Christmas Festival, one of Sydney’s favourite free Christmas events, with markets, rides, live music and fireworks for the whole family.

Wander the Christmas markets for gifts you won’t find anywhere else, let the kids loose on the rides, and tuck into street food and festive treats from around the world. Then settle in on the grass as the music kicks off, with local performers on stage in the afternoon and a star-studded Christmas concert once the sun goes down. It all ends with a fireworks spectacular lighting up the sky over Double Bay.

Whether you’re ticking off the Christmas shopping, hunting for a new family tradition or want an excuse to eat something delicious in the park, this one has it all.

What’s on at The Double Bay Christmas Festival 2026

Christmas Markets

Kick things off at 12 pm with a market full of artisan stalls, unique Christmas gifts and local traders, all curated by Cambridge Markets. Grab some international street food and festive treats while you browse, and let the kids loose on the rides.

Live Music

Spread out a picnic rug on the lawns and soak up the festive atmosphere as local performers take the stage from 3 pm. Then, the main concert kicks off at 6 pm, headlined by some of Australia’s biggest stars, including Conrad Sewell, Paulini, Shannon Noll, Hugh Sheridan and Harlan Goode. The All-Star Carols Band will join them for iconic hits and Christmas favourites, and it’s all FREE.

Christmas Fireworks Finale

Finish the night with a bang. A dazzling fireworks display over Double Bay is the grand finale.

Last year’s Double Bay Christmas Festival drew more than 10,000 people, so it’s a good idea to arrive early to claim a spot on the lawn.
