Carer Gateway Carnivale Day

Attention all carers, families, and friends! You’re invited to the Carer Gateway Carnivale Day for a free, fun-filled day to celebrate the amazing job that carers do for the people they care for day in, day out. 

The Benevolent Society Carer Gateway Carnivale Day

In partnership with Your Side, The Benevolent Society is holding this free event to celebrate Australia's 2.7 million unpaid carers.  

There will be live entertainment, family activities, information stalls, art therapy, and group mindfulness exercises to promote well-being and have fun. In addition to arts and crafts, there will be plenty of dress-ups and games on offer for the kids to enjoy. Petting zoos and pet adoption information will also be available, as pets are known to improve health and well-being.  

There will be plenty of food trucks for you to pick up a bite to eat, and you can also bring a picnic for the family to enjoy the atmosphere. The event is open to everyone and promises to be a true celebration of carers contributions with a real carnivale atmosphere! 

The Carer Gateway team will be there to answer any questions you may have about the program, and available to offer support in your caring role if you are a new caregiver.   

Where:  Pyrmont Park Bay, Pirrama Road, Pyrmont NSW 2009
When:   Saturday 1 April 2023 | 10 am- 3 pm 
Cost:     Free, booking is essential
