The Art Gallery of New South Wales offers a vibrant array of free activities during the Autumn school holidays, designed to inspire creativity and engagement for children and families.

School Holiday Drop-in Workshops

Happy Birthday 2U2 by Hikoko Ito

An interactive installation in the Naala Nura Building featuring 366 mailboxes, each representing a day of the year. Children can create a birthday card for their 'birthday twin'. FREE, no bookings required.

Autumnal Wreaths and Lanterns

Inspired by Angelica Mesiti's work, this workshop allows kids to craft seasonal decorations.
Until Friday 25 April 2025 (excluding 18 April) from 11 am – 3:30 pm

Sculptural Workshops

Drawing inspiration from Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, children can create their own sculptural pieces.

Clay Play Workshop

A tactile session designed for children with access needs. Free, but bookings are required.

An interactive exploration of artworks in the Naala Nura building.
