Back for Afterpay Day 2025, the much-loved Mystery Market is returning to Sydney – and this time, it's all about generosity.

In response to rising cost-of-living pressures (and the fact that 72% of us are cutting back on gifts for loved ones), Afterpay is flipping the script with a one-day-only Pay It Forward edition of their iconic giveaway.

Here’s how it works: the first 1,000 Afterpay customers to visit the Pitt Street Mall pop-up can grab a mystery box containing one surprise prize to keep, and an identical one to gift to someone special. Think of it as double the joy, with zero cost.

A share in over $200,000 worth of prizes, including a $5,000 Webjet voucher, a Dyson Airwrap, Nintendo Switch 2, LSKD activewear, Hommey robes, Ninja Creamis and more. Participating brands include CROCS, Petbarn, Red Balloon, Prezzee and more.

It’s a feel-good, give-back kind of day – and the perfect way to kick off the Afterpay Day sales (14–17 August).

How to Take Part

Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, with lines expected to form early. To take part, download the Afterpay app, set up your digital card, and be among the first to arrive at Pitt Street Mall when the market opens at 8 am.
