Featuring seven newly commissioned installations by eight leading Victorian-based artists and creatives, Joy brings the Immigration Museum to life with something to spark emotion in every corner! The thought-provoking exhibition uses light, sound, movement and personal storytelling to explore joy in all its forms and take you on an emotive adventure of creativity, colour and storytelling.

Wander through playful, poignant and perspective-shifting spaces that offer a unique opportunity to experience the power and meaning of joy, from the carefree years of childhood to a celebration of belonging and togetherness.

Kids will love the sensory elements and vibrant installations with a beautiful mix of art, play and storytelling, while parents and carers will appreciate the deeper messages woven through the exhibits. And don't miss the Share Your Joy wall, where everyone is invited to write or draw what makes them feel truly joyful.
