Buddha❜s Day and Multicultural Festival

Head down to Federation Square this May and celebrate the birth of Buddha and the multicultural society in which we live at the Buddha's Day and Multicultural Festival.

The Festival celebrates the birth of Buddha and the diversity of our multicultural and multi-faith society, through a curated program offering traditional Buddhist Ceremonies, transformative digital experiences and activations, arts, music, cultural performances, spiritual well-being lectures, blessing ceremonies, vegetarian cuisine, children’s activities and so much more.

The Children’s Corner offers plenty of entertaining activities for children of all ages. Cultures and tra­ditions are on display including Kwan lion dance and dragon dance workshops as well as face painting, mindfulness colouring, and much more for children to discover and enjoy.

It really is set to be a highlight of Melbourne's cultural calendar this year—so get the date in your diaries!
