When disaster strikes, recovery does not end when the immediate emergency is over. Homes still need cleaning, communities need practical support, and families need help finding their feet again.

This month, Australians can help support that recovery simply by picking up a bottle of Pine O Cleen at Coles. For every Pine O Cleen product purchased at Coles in-store or online during Pine O Cleen’s Cleen Up Program, $0.20 will contribute towards a $100,000 donation to Australian Red Cross.

Pine O Cleen and Australian Red Cross Team Up to Support Communities After Disasters

Pine O Cleen, Australia’s iconic disinfectant brand for more than 70 years, is entering another year of its partnership with Australian Red Cross, helping support communities affected by natural disasters and other extreme weather emergencies across Australia. Through the ‘Cleen Up’ Program, Pine O Cleen provides financial support and cleaning products to Australian Red Cross, helping communities manage some of the practical challenges that come with recovering after a disaster.

Because after the floodwaters recede or the bushfires have passed, there is still a long road ahead.

Supporting Communities Beyond the Immediate Emergency

The program is designed to support communities during the recovery process, providing essential cleaning products while also helping create opportunities for volunteers to connect with affected households. Those connections can make a real difference. Alongside practical assistance, they help people feel supported as they begin the process of cleaning up, rebuilding and reconnecting with their communities.

The ‘Cleen Up’ Program most recently supported people impacted by the Victorian bushfires in January 2026 and continues to assist disaster-affected communities across Australia.

Australian Red Cross Director of Emergency Services, Resilience & Recovery, Nichola Krey, says partnerships like this are increasingly important as communities face more frequent and severe disasters.

“Recovery from disasters is a lengthy and multifaceted process that relies on support and donations from individuals and companies,” she says. “From essential cleaning products to meaningful community connections, this partnership helps people focus on rebuilding their lives after disaster.”

A Small Purchase Can Help Support Disaster Recovery

Throughout July 2026, every Pine O Cleen product purchased at Coles, either in-store or online, will contribute to the ‘Cleen Up’ Program. The contribution is simple: $0.20 from every eligible Pine O Cleen product purchased during the campaign period helps support a $100,000 donation to Australian Red Cross, with the donation to be made by December 20261.

So, when you stock up on cleaning essentials for your family, you can also help support Australian communities affected by natural disasters and extreme weather emergencies.

Continuing Support for Australians in Need

The partnership builds on years of support from Reckitt, Pine O Cleen’s parent company. Since December 2022, Reckitt has contributed up to $400,000 in monetary donations to Australian Red Cross humanitarian work and provided cleaning supplies to communities impacted by disasters across the country2.

Support has reached communities affected by floods in Queensland, as well as recovery efforts in the Northern Territory, South Australia and Victoria.

Laurie Ferland-Caouette, Head of Sustainability at Reckitt Australia, says the partnership reflects Pine O Cleen’s commitment to supporting Australians beyond the home.

“For more than 70 years, Australians have trusted Pine O Cleen to help keep their homes clean and safe. Through our partnership with Australian Red Cross, we’re proud to extend that support beyond the home and into communities recovering from some of their most challenging moments,” she says.

Helping Australians Support Australians

Natural disasters can leave a lasting impact on households and communities, with recovery often taking months or even years. The ‘Cleen Up’ Program helps provide ongoing support where it is needed, from practical cleaning supplies to the community connections that can help people rebuild.
