If you've visited every water park in Sydney multiple times over, it might be time to get out of town for a weekend and check out the super-cool Peninsula Leisure Centre.

The Central Coast's Peninsula Leisure Centre at Woy Woy launched a new nautical-themed Water Splash Park following a huge, million-dollar makeover at the beginning of 2021 and is still making a huge splash with locals and visitors alike.

The splash park is located on the grassed area within the pool complex and includes a tipping bucket, interactive (cause and effect) features, shade sail, in-built filtration system and zero-depth (for safety and accessibility). The inclusive facility has been designed with the whole community in mind.

Sessions at the awesome new educational space run for one hour and are capped at 50 people on a first in first-served system, so you can safely splash into spring!

Over $1 million was invested to deliver an interactive water-based play and education space, funded by the NSW Government with $850,000 from the Stronger Country Communities fund and over $200,000 from Council.

Council Director Connected Communities Julie Vaughan said the water park would be accessible to all Central Coast Community members.

"Our community has told us they would like to see the outdoor space within the PLC better utilised, and we’ve listened," Ms Vaughan said.

"This Water Play Park can be enjoyed upon entry to the PLC – we expect it to attract community members from the Peninsula and across the Coast, and of course, visitors to our beautiful region. The design selected is focused on creating a safe, water-based play space that can be accessed by people of all ages and abilities for fun and education."

Location and Entry Prices

Entry to the Splash Park is included in the pool entry fees. Casual Adult Swim $ 7.80; Child Swim (0-4) with an adult FREE; Child Swim (5-9) with adult $ 4.60; Child Swim (10-18) $4.60. Spectator Entry $ 3.80.
