Mums In NSW To Receive Care Package On Bub❜s Arrival

  • Parents Only

You get gifted lots of cute things when you have a baby, but let's be real you don't need much of it (babies do not need shoes or toys, my good-willed friends!) so this news is welcomed. The NSW State government will give all parents who give birth this year (from January 1 2019) a hamper of goodies valued at more than $300.

The Baby Bundle as it's called is filled with baby products and a selection of information to support the health, development and well-being of babies. You'll pick up the swag of goodies once you're discharged from hospital. To be eligible, parents need to live in NSW, and it doesn't matter if you've had a baby before. Mums of twins/triplets etc will receive a bundle for each of their babies and adoptive and foster parents of babies up to the age of three months will also get one.

What's In The Bundle?

Expect a sleeping bag, play and change mats, muslin wrap, bath and room thermometers, baby toothbrush, breast pads, first aid kit, board books, face cloth, baby wipes, hand sanitiser and barrier cream. How good is that!

In June 2018 the NSW Government launched the Baby Bundle as part of the Parents Package 10 point plan in the 2018 State Budget.

The Parents Package also includes funding for 100 more midwives and extra child and family health nurses.

We think this is just grand.
