Liverpool❜s Paper Mill Food Precinct Looks Finger-Licking Good

  • Family

Western Sydney will soon have its own foodie heaven when The Paper Mill Food opens to the public on Saturday 10 August.

Nestled on the banks of the Georges River in Liverpool, the dining destintation will feature four restaurants under one roof, open seven days for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and coffee.

Housed in a stunningly restored heritage building, The Paper Mill Food is a unique development for Western Sydney. The vibrant heart of an innovative residential community, brought to life by Coronation Property, The Paper Mill Food will elevate eating and event options in Sydney’s third CBD.

What's To Eat Then?

The Paper Mill Food restaurants include Shepherd's Lane - a café/bakery/dessert bar, Georgies - a pizzeria, Charcoal Joe's - a charcoal chicken and burger outlet, and Firepit a refined but casual a la carte restaurant specialising in meat and seafood cooked over charcoal and in the wood-fired oven.

The Paper Mill Food reflects the cultural diversity of Sydney’s vibrant west and offers something for everyone, on every budget. There is also an extensive takeaway and delivery menu available.

The Paper Mill Food’s General Manager, Jason Chow, said: “There is nothing in Western Sydney like The Paper Mill Food. We spent considerable time researching what we were going to put into this space, as we wanted to make sure it was what the community of Liverpool and greater Western Sydney have been wanting and deserve. We’re excited to open with our take on Lebanese chicken, pizza, meats grilled over charcoal, and coffee and pastries.”

The History Of The Mill

Dating from 1868 the building that was once Australia’s largest paper mill has been carefully transformed by leading designer Paul Papadopoulos of DS17, who has honoured the industrial legacy. Period features including original brickwork and the distinctive saw-toothed roof are retained, with contemporary updates in steel, glass and stone. No detail is overlooked, with features including bespoke timber joinery, Carrara marble and custom cast iron sculpting resembling nineteenth century ovens. An expansive hand-made mosaic tile floor is a highlight of the light-filled interior.
